Steven Kaun General Manager
Steven Kaun served the package goods industry for over 25 years. Steven was President of Brand Builders International for 18 years — An international marketing and communications agency. Its clients included such brands as Chicken of the Sea, Dole Packaged Foods, Lawry's Foods, Hunt-Wesson, Fishking Processors, Inland Valley, Thomas J. Lipton, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco, Pepsico, Ruiz Foods, Unilever and many more. Steven developed a proprietary process for brand building called, the BrandTarget.
Prior to joining Bear Creek Golf Club, Steven had a food consulting firm named Flavor Solutions. The company was born out of the need in the Food Industry to marry the components of flavor and marketing so that the discipline was seamless from manufacturer to operator to consumer. While leading Flavor Solutions, he developed a proprietary business model for helping consumers and professionals understand “flavor” through The Flavor Pyramid.
Additionally, Steven has traveled to over 75 countries throughout the world and experienced a multitude of cuisines from street vendors to haute cuisine to multinational chains to independent restaurateurs. His culinary bent combined with his marketing and executive skills has enabled him to be uniquely qualified to counsel clients who were looking for help in international strategic marketing.
Steven is an avid golfer and has been a member of Bear Creek Golf Club since 2001. His executive management skills, strategic marketing, private club governance experience and knowledge of the private golf industry make him uniquely qualified to lead the staff at Bear Creek as General Manager.

Mark W. Costa Vice President of Marketing & Membership Services
As Vice President of Marketing & Membership Services Mark brings us two decades of hospitality experience with in the Sales, Marketing, Event Planning and Operational Management disciplines. Previously Mark has held various senior executive positions within the cruise and private club industries overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for Dallas based ClubCorp of America, Miami based Royal Caribbean International and New Orleans based American Classic Voyages.
At Bear Creek Golf Club; Mark is responsible for the matriculation of new Members, creating/developing innovative retention strategies, and building a strong Membership Services/Concierge program. Further, Mark is solely responsible for producing and directing the extraordinarily popular Bear Creek Supper Club, which has quickly become one of our most coveted and popular special events in Club history.

Jeremy Clevenger Director of Golf
Jeremy Clevenger, Bear Creek’s Head Golf Professional, joined the Club in May 2004. Prior to joining Bear Creek he was the Head Golf Professional at Marbella Country Club and has also directed the golf programs at Mesa Verde and Yorba Linda Country Club’s.
Scholastically, Jeremy graduated from the University of Arizona with a Major in Economics and a double Minor in both Political Science and Spanish. During his junior year of university, Jeremy studied abroad in Seville, Spain. (read more...)

Kevin E. Jones Food & Beverage Manger
Food & Beverage Manager Kevin E. Jones oversees all culinary and service related aspects of Bear Creek’s award wining Food and Beverage product. His number one priority is to ensure that you have the best experience possible when dining at the Club. Kevin oversees all service and culinary staff and welcomes your comments and questions about your Bear Creek Golf Club experience. Many Members refer to Kevin’s "Food & Wine" expertise and follow his suggestions for menu and wine selections.
Kevin brings to the Club more than two decades of food, beverage and fine dining experience. A tenured private club and casual dining executive, Kevin has worked for several high-end equity clubs as well as corporate driven culinary powerhouse restaurants throughout suburban Los Angeles.
Formerly Dining Room/Banquet Manager at the upscale Altadena Town & Country Club just north of Pasadena, Kevin also oversaw Banquet operations at the prestigious Riviera County Club located in the stunning community of Pacific Palisades. Most recently Kevin completed a successful tenure as General Manager for Marie Calendars Restaurant & Bakery in downtown Pasadena.

Kevin Manolovitz Executive Chef
Chef Kevin Manolovitz is revered as the foundation of Bear Creeks coveted standard of culinary excellence. Classically schooled at the Los Angeles Culinary Institute, Chef Manolovitz oversees his culinary team much like a conductor leads his orchestra through a classic symphony. Gary Mineo Controller
Our controller, Gary P. Mineo, has been with the club since 2002. In addition to his financial responsibilities at Bear Creek Golf Club, he shares ownership in a manufacturing firm located in Arcadia, CA, which produces chemical regeneration systems used worldwide in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards and chemical milling.
Prior to his arrival at Bear Creek, he was controller at Exotic Electro-Optics in Murrieta, controller at VPT division of Kaiser Aerospace in Santa Fe Springs, and Accounting Manager for Composite Structures division of Alcoa Aluminum in Monrovia, CA.
Gary received his BS degree in Accounting at Farleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, New Jersey, and his MBA in Finance from the University of New Haven, Connecticut. He has spent over 35 years working in Finance and Accounting. He and his partner Linda have lived in Bear Creek since 1999. When not working, Gary and Linda enjoy traveling around the world.

Barbara Dennison Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
We are pleased that Barbara joined Bear Creek Golf Club in November of 2006. She is an exceptional addition to our food & beverage team.
Born outside of Boston, Barbara grew up an Army brat, living in 11 different states and abroad in Germany during her childhood. Academically Barb majored in Commercial Art at Virginia Commonwealth University, but ironically it was during her university years that she began working at a Marriott owned hotel. During this time she learned the art of fine service and quickly worked her way up the ranks to Banquet Manager.
Residing in Wildomar with her daughter Haley, when not providing exceptional culinary service to the Members of Bear Creek, she continues to pursue her obsession of art and style.

Amy K. Nelson Membership Services Coordinator
Amy K. Nelson, our Membership Services Coordinator, began at Bear Creek Golf Club as the Club Secretary. Amy welcomes the opportunity to provide you with exclusive Members Only Concierge Services.
